Do I Need a Doctor's Referral?
A doctor's referral is not required for massage therapy treatment unless you are being treated for a Worksafe BC or ICBC Claim. Some extended healthcare providers require a medical referral, so it is best to check with your provider first prior to your first visit.
What Should I Bring To My First Appointment?
If you are a new client to the clinic - Please fill out this New Patient Intake Form.You can either fill it out online and email it to moverecovery@gmail.com or print it out and bring it with you to your appointment
At Move Recovery & Performance we strive to provide the best sports massage service in Kamloops, to maximize the time with your massage therapist we ask if you dress appropriately for the condition.
If you have a lower body injury (low back to feet), please bring shorts with you.
If you have a upper body injury and you are female, please bring a sports bra or tank top, so that we can appropriatley assess the area.
How Long Wil I Be In Each Session?
This depends on you injury but expect to be to be in the clinic for approximetly 45 to 60 minutes.
How Man Sessions Will I Need?
Every condition is individually evaluated, based on the person and severity of their condition and patient activity expectations. Your massage therapist will advise you of the appropriate treatment plan after your initial assessment.
Does My Extended Health Care Plan Cover My Massage Therapy Treatment?
Most health care plans cover some massage therapy treatments. Check with your service provider for more specific details.
